Deborah is passionate about helping organizations optimize a diverse workforce through cultures of inclusion and belonging. She currently leads the Interaction Associates practice for Women in Leadership.
Deborah has more than 20 years of experience coaching mid-level and senior leaders, focusing on organizational effectiveness, talent management, and team effectiveness. She has been affiliated with Interaction Associates as a client, advisory board member, and senior consultant since 1998. Prior to joining Interaction Associates, Deborah held senior Human Resources roles in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, and telecommunications industries where she gained a depth of knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness, team collaboration, and change management. She is focused exclusively on the optimization of a diverse talent pool.
Deborah is a co-author of Leadership Development: A Coaching Approach to Growing Sustainable Leadership Capabilities, published in The International Journal of Coaching in Organizations (issue 3, 2006).
Deborah’s client experience includes engagements with Merck-Serono, Genentech, Dell, EMC, Invesco, eBay, Caterpillar, Nokia, and Dolby. Deborah is a trained Integral Coach and is certified in a number of assessment instruments. She divides her time between San Diego, CA and Zlatibor, Serbia where she helps her husband run his tour business.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Education in Human Resource Development from Colorado State University. She was selected to attend the HERS Bryn Mawr Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education Administration and is a Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Fellow.
