(Cambridge, MA) February 1, 2009 — Linda Dunkel, President and CEO of Interaction Associates, is among several woman humanitarians and change agents cited in a new book by Isabelle St-Jean, Living Forward, Giving Back: A Practical Guide to Fulfillment in Mid-Life.
St-Jean’s book refers to Dunkel as "…an outstanding model of congruence, as evidenced by her many achievements, including her collaborative leadership in running (Interaction Associates,) this unique 40-year-old firm. Linda believes in conscious capitalism and operates the firm in a socially-conscious way."
In a chapter on "Women Ushering in the Future," Dunkel is mentioned alongside such notable leaders as Margaret Wheatley, founder of the Berkana Institute, Lynne Twist, President, Soul of Money Institute, Nobel Peace Laureate Betty Williams, who founded WCCCI, and others. St-Jean says that part of the book "…celebrates the timely contributions of women who are stepping forward in unprecedented numbers to lead and to take powerful, caring actions."
Dunkel is a past recipient of Winning Workplace's "Best Bosses in America" award and is the Board Chair of World Centers of Compassion for Children International (WCCCI), a non-profit organization dedicated to relieving the suffering and improving the lives of refugee children.
