1. How do I register for a public workshop?

A. There are five ways to register:

Online: Complete the online registration form and submit it through our secure website. Our Public Workshop Services Coordinator will contact you within two business days of your registration.

Phone: Call our Public Workshops Services Coordinator at +1-800-347-8352 (toll free US) or +1-617-535-7000.

Email: Provide your name, title, organization, address, phone number, and the workshop title, date and location of the workshop you want to attend. Email it to: workshops@interactionassociates.com.

Fax: Complete a downloaded registration form, and fax it to +1-617-535-7099.

Mail: Complete a downloaded registration form, and mail it to:

2. How early should I register?

A. Five or six weeks prior to the workshop will usually ensure you a seat. Our workshops fill at varying rates, so register early.

3. Once I'm registered, how do I pay for a program?

A. Payment is required in full within thirty (30) days of receipt of this invoice, or not later than fifteen (15) days prior to the workshop, whichever comes first. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express only.

4. What is your cancel/reschedule policy?

A. There is no charge to cancel or reschedule if the request is received at least 30 days before the workshop. Cancellation or rescheduling requests received less than 30 days before the workshop are subject to fees. Please call us for more information.

5. Where are the workshops held?

A. We have learning centers in our San Francisco and Boston offices. We also conduct workshops online. In other cities, we host our workshops at conference centers.

6. What are the workshop times?

A. The workshops run from 8:30am – 5:00pm each day. The times for online workshops vary.

7. Do you offer any discounts on workshop fees (including nonprofit or government rates)?

A. Nonprofit: Yes. We are committed to assisting employees in nonprofit organizations who do not have the funds to take advantage of our workshops. Nonprofit employees can attend our workshops at 25% off the regular tuition fee.

Interaction Associates established the Interaction Institute for Social Change in 1993 to provide reduced-rate training, consulting, and facilitation services to community leaders, nongovernmental organizations, and other not-for-profit groups that are committed to social justice and civic responsibility. Government: We are on the GSA schedule. Government employees receive a 10% discount.

Bring a Friend: Enroll with a co-worker or friend and you'll both receive a $100 discount. Simply register for your workshop at the same time to receive the discount.

Groups: Please call for information about group discounts.

Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers and are voided by cancellations.

8. How many participants from one company can attend the same public workshop?

A. We recommend that no more than four employees from one organization attend the same workshop. If six or more individuals are interested in the same workshop, we can offer you on-site training. Please call us to discuss the best option for you: +1-800-347-8352.

9. What's included in my workshop fee?

A. The workshop fee includes all materials and daily continental breakfast and lunch.Sorry, we cannot provide breakfast and lunch for online workshops; you are on your own!

10. How do I find hotel accommodations?

A. In your registration packet, you will find a list of recommended hotels which offer discounted rates to Interaction Associates workshop participants. Please mention Interaction Associates to receive these rates.

11. Do you offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?

A. Although we don't offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), upon request we will provide a letter verifying successful completion and the number of workshop hours completed. We do offer PDUs. Project Managers can earn up to 24 PDU's by attending either Essential Facilitation or Facilitative Leadership.

12. What is the workshop pre-work, and why is it important?

A. Your workshop actually begins when you start your pre-work. It requires you to reflect on your experience and insight. It introduces you to some of the workshop's core concepts and models. You will use your pre-work in workshop exercises. Online workshops also require completion of interim assignments.

13. Once I complete my pre-work, what do I do with it?

A. Bring your completed pre-work with you to the workshop. For workshops that include Desired Outcome questionnaires, please fill out and return those at least a week before the start of the workshop. Online prework and interim work is submitted electronically.

14. How long does the pre-work take?

A. Your face-to-face workshop pre-work will take you about ½ hour to complete.Prework for our online workshops takes about 60-75 minutes.

15. How many participants comprise a typical public workshop?

A. The number of participants typically ranges from 8 to 18.

16. What is your trainer-to-participant ratio?

A. Unlike most training companies, we promise no more than 12 participants for every trainer. This ensures you the personal attention you need to advance your skill level.
