Change Leadership

Powerful strategies for transformation

Are you leading change in your organization? Could you use some powerful strategies to set and communicate direction, enroll and equip everyone for success, and effectively understand and navigate obstacles and pitfalls?

Many change management approaches take a step-by-step, top-down view of change.  But in today’s business world, change is too fluid, complex, and pervasive for such a linear approach. Real world experience shows that change happens iteratively, and can arise anywhere in an organization — so you and your team must be able to meet change where and when it happens.

Reactions to organization change can range from outright fear, to apathy, to enthusiasm — often in the same employee, in the same day!  You need the right combination of knowledge, mindset, and skills to guide people through the process without disrupting day-to-day operations. We’ll provide you with an approach that minimizes the negative consequences change implementation can have in your organization — while capitalizing on its very real advantages.

The two-day Change Leadership program focuses on the three overarching strategies required to lead change successfully – establishing direction, engaging for commitment, and developing capabilities.

Learning objectives

Change Leadership is a learning laboratory that invites participants to examine their change challenges and chart new approaches to helping themselves and others thrive in environments of constant change. In this two-day workshop, participants will learn to:

  • Coach others through the experience of change,
  • Establish and communicate a clear direction for any change effort,
  • Inspire commitment from a variety of stakeholders — including allies, the apathetic, early adopters, and opponents,
  • Develop capabilities in others to help them implement the change,
  • Ensure your people are prepared and skilled to work well in the changed environment,
  • Collaboratively design a pathway forward to implement change.
  • Who should attend

Formal and informal leaders who are responsible for the performance of others.

  • Senior leaders
  • Managers
  • Informal leaders such as internal consultants
  • Supervisors
  • Team leaders
  • Project Managers
  • Department heads
  • How participants learn

Participants are encouraged to bring real-world change leadership experiences into the Change Leadership workshop. In this way, skills developed are immediately transferable back on the job. Self-assessment, group practice sessions, exploratory discussions, and feedback from workshop leaders and participants combine to provide a varied and engaging learning experience.  A trainer-participant ratio of 1-10 means every participant gets personal attention.
